Karen joined Burgess in 2006, as charter assistant and then office manager for the newly established New York office. In her position working alongside Senior Partners to grow Burgess in the USA, she also supported company offices in Miami and Seattle. Since returning to London headquarters, Karen has facilitated across almost all departments in a variety of roles.

With this breadth of experience, Karen was uniquely positioned to create Burgess’ first CRM system in 2017. To deliver this project, she collaborated with the fourteen Burgess offices now instituted across the globe, and greatly influenced company culture on the importance of data to the business.

As Head of Dynamics, Karen focusses her talent and enthusiasm into training Burgess staff in CRM. In 2024 she created Burgess Learn, a training platform designed to enable people to ‘work smarter, not harder’, through effective data capture and implementation.

Today, Karen and her data team support the business to deliver the Burgess 360 service. Karen passionately promotes the use of data in all forward-planning, and she enables 220 staff worldwide to elevate their contribution through data.
